Fae ~ milkweed half eternity 🌸
9ct yellow with 10x 1.7-2mm pink sapphires
With an array of milky pink sapphires all descending in hues of milky pale to vivid sunset pinks
My inspiration for the colours of this band comes from common milkweed, a hardy perennial found in hedgerows and woodlands which bloom late spring to early summer. Which are a common food for the endangered monarch butterfly’s 🤍
Milkweed gets its name from the milky sap that oozes out when the plant is cut or broken. Its family, Asclepiadaceae, takes its name from Asclepios, the Greek god of healing, likely due to the sap’s historical use in medicine… but to note it’s very toxic to humans and animals apart from butterfly’s 🧚🏼
